POPeYeS @ HKIA

My second visit to US was via Hong Kong, and the moment I saw my e-ticket I knew where I was going to eat my "transit" food.. Oh Yes ! when I stepped the aerobridge I walked fast only to know people walked faster than me to stand in the long tail of queue for clearance..

POPeYeS  -  HKIA

Where did these people come from..? where they all on my plane...? was it such a huge plane..? by the time I have been questioning myself, It was my turn already.. He took less than a minute to check my bag tho' I was worried they would weigh my bag.. I was almost carrying a check-in luggage with me..

Then, after that with only 2 1/2 hr left to my connecting flight... I had to rush to see the gate no. and then walk towards my dreams of fried chicken.. at least those were my directions from my husband,He knew me too well :)

As I walked towards the gate praying to find it soon it was almost quarter to an hour, then there it is.. the restaurant lounge right above the floor I discovered the gate, I should be boarding from.. My belief in God got very strong...I took the escalator to the next floor

The restaurant lounge was so huge and very spacious.. of course it is an international airport for god sakes.. I walked toward the counter and knew already what I was going to order.. the famous louisiana fried chicken and seasoned french fries combo which also included a biscuit although I dont remember having them on my plate the last time...

Comforted myself by a table... finally got to taste the first bite of the incredible fries...wow. The combo is rightly portioned with 2 fried chicken, 1 biscuit,  medium size fries and medium drink.. how better can life get..

Fries - Mildly seasoned with strong distinct flavor

Fried Chicken - Crispy on the outside and so moist and juicy on the inside, the flavor has reached all the way until the last bite..

Biscuit - exactly the right size one should be, lightly browned and crisp on the top and so soft it just breaks into two halves.. goes perfectly well with some butter spread on top.

Drink - well I am a huge orange soda fan, I would always go with fanta..hmm

After having a satiating meal , it was time to part from popeyes.. though i should agree it felt a little stuffed already.. but I even thought of packing some for my flight.. then i dropped the idea.

walked down the escalator to board with the half empty drink in my hand...

It definitely is one of my favorite restaurants and will always be..
